The Carmelite Sisters of the Aged & Infirm, located on pristine property overlooking the Hudson River in Germantown, New York, are looking to temporarily fill the position of Cook due to medical leave.
The position is Full Time, 5 days a week including every other weekend.
Responsibilities include:
Prepares, seasons, and cooks a wide variety of meats, vegetables, and other food items as needed for lunch and dinner, for the approximately 40 resident Sisters.
Prepares menu of the day according to standard recipes/directions, proper oven and holding temperatures.
Adheres to the Food Sanitation Code for Food Preparation and Storage.
Maintains weekly freezer inventory.
Stores delivered food items in freezer weekly.
Defrosts foods as necessary.
Places food orders in the absence of Department Head.
Maintains a clean work area.
