ARII is a full service court reporting and transcription firm that has been providing verbatim transcripts for over 40 years. We obtain digitally recorded files from several different methods and platforms and then produce transcripts.
Digital court reporter:
Experienced preferred but willing to train the right candidate
Strong keyboarding skills
Strong understanding of the English language, spelling and punctuation
Familiar with remote connection platforms (Teams, Zoom, WebEx)
Notary Public (ability to pass a test set forth by Department of State)
Computer literate (able to upload files and download)
Highly attentive to detail
Able to take good notes
Microsoft Word knowledge
Confidence with setting up electronic equipment
Valid driver's license
Reliable transportation a must
We will train the successful applicant in the use of the digital recording system we currently utilize to capture the record of hearings, meetings, depositions and arbitrations. The court reporter must be comfortable interacting with judges, attorneys, hearing officers and arbitrators in a professional legal setting.
This is a part-time position but interested individuals could view this as a long-term career opportunity, with the immediate goal of obtaining AAERT (American Association of Electronic Reporters and Transcribers) certifications.
