Flowering Sun Mushroom Farm is an innovative cooperative dedicated to producing premium-quality mushrooms while fostering sustainability and community engagement. We are seeking a dynamic Sales Associate to join our team and play a vital role in expanding our customer base and driving revenue.
Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Sales Associate to research prospective clients, reach out to them via phone and email, schedule sample drop-offs, and follow up to secure deals. This role requires charisma, quick communication skills, a creative approach in research and scouting, and a commitment to representing our brand with integrity and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
Conduct research to identify potential clients such as restaurants, grocery stores, and distributors that align with our brand and product offerings.
Make outbound calls and emails to introduce our farm, pitch our products, and schedule sample drop-offs.
Actively engage in direct sales efforts, including pitching and negotiating with potential clients over the phone, especially if it seems possible to bypass sampling and go straight for deal making
Follow up with clients to answer questions, address concerns, and secure sales agreements.
Transfer all client interactions and relevant information to our CRM system on Monday.com for tracking and analysis.
Provide bi-monthly updates to the Sales Manager on sales activities, successes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
Continuously learn and refine sales techniques
Requirements:
Previous experience in sales or customer service, preferably in the food industry.
Strong research skills with the ability to effectively identify and qualify potential clients
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a confident and persuasive phone presence.
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and follow through on sales opportunities.
Experience using CRM software (e.g., Monday.com) preferred, but not required.
