Blue Green Works is a high-end lighting and design studio, founded in 2020 in New York City. We’re looking for a great candidate to join us as our first Production Associate in our production facility located in Sullivan County, NY.
As the Production Associate, you will report to our Production Manager, assisting him in all things production-related. This includes, but is not limited to: tracking inventory, machining and assembly of components, packing, and shipping.
This is a part time position, with the possibility to expand to full time. Working hours will typically take place Monday-Friday, between 9am-5pm. The compensation range for this role is $15-$20, depending on experience.

Responsibilities include:
- Wiring and assembling of light fixtures
- Some machining/shop work
- Packing and shipment of light fixtures
- Assisting with inventory management (stocking, tracking, organizing, etc)
- Keeping a clean and tidy shop, contribute to overall department organization
- Conducting quality and safety testing on light fixtures
- Coordinating incoming and outgoing deliveries
- Supporting company initiatives and projects on an as-needed basis
Successful candidates will have:
- Basic electrical knowledge (bonus if you have experience with lighting fixture assembly, UL/CE knowledge, etc)
- Experience working with hand tools and power tools
- Experience with manual machines (drill press, chop saw, grinder, lathe, etc)
- Worked in skilled trades (electrical, carpentry, plumbing, etc)
- Experience with metal work (finishing, polishing, fabrication, etc)
- Experience packing and shipping items securely for delivery
- Keen attention to detail
- A collaborative attitude and desire to learn
- Flexibility and a willingness to adjust to the needs of a growing business
- A high school diploma or equivalent
Bonus if you have:
- Experience with lighting or furniture design/production
- Experience coordinating international shipments/deliveries
- Experience with inventory management systems
