Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in the construction/contractor industry based in Queens, New York. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be expected to manage a high volume of data entry tasks and maintain accurate customer records. Responsibilities: Handle heavy data entry tasks daily, focusing on accuracy and efficiency Process a high volume of invoices on a daily basis Utilize 'Accounts Payable (AP)' and 'Sage Timberline' to manage and process accounts Maintain accurate customer credit records in the system Resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary Meet the daily needs of the department efficiently Utilize strong computer skills to manage and organize data Maintain a high level of organization to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner.Requirements Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures Experience with Sage Timberline software is desirable Strong data entry skills, particularly numeric data entry Familiarity with the construction or contractor industry is preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred Previous experience in an Accounts Payable role is a plus.
