MarketMAPS is a leading provider of geographic information services and products used by thousands of companies, including most of the FORTUNE 500. We are seeking a full time IT/GIS Operations Manager to join our team in Wellsboro, PA.
We are looking for a top performer...self-motivated with the ability to get the job done! You will oversee a team responsible for the IT environment as well as creation of maps, reports, charts and databases. Essential tasks include managing staff; scheduling; computer, servers, networking, printing and peripheral equipment; quality control; and distribution of final product.
â¢ Manage the IT environment as well as the production schedule and process of publishing materials, including quality control.
â¢ Coordinate workers and resources to maximize efficiency, attain IT goals and production targets while maintaining highest quality standards.
â¢ Develop and enforce standard operating procedures and ensure quality goals are met.
â¢ Manage the selection, training and development of staff.
â¢ Supervise workers, assign tasks, and evaluate the performance of employees.
â¢ Establish and maintain working relationships with staff, clients and vendors to produce GIS products that meet client needs.
â¢ Oversee the ordering and delivery of materials and equipment, track inventory and maintain purchase records.
â¢ Coordinate maintenance and repair of computer and printing resources.
â¢ Work with company managers to establish and implement company policies and procedures.
â¢ Support a culture with the highest levels of professionalism
â¢ Obtain complete knowledge of our products and services
â¢ Work with the sales team and clients to design and deliver the best solutions.
â¢ Coordinate communications and collaboration with other departments
â¢ Keeping up with new technologies
â¢ Participating in the company's development of new IT & GIS software, databases and web applications
â¢ Systems Administration: configure, administer, and maintain; multiple physical and virtual servers, a fleet of Windows-based corporate personal computers, networking equipment, computer peripheral equipment
â¢ Database Administration: design, develop, configure, and maintain multiple database applications utilizing SQL Server
â¢ Application Development: design and develop integrated business applications for the Windows platform, utilizing the .Net framework with C# applications
â¢ IT Support: assist all corporate users with all aspects of Information Technology pertinent to the performance of their jobs, including personal interaction, phone interaction, and web-based technical assistance.
â¢ IT Planning: assist management in resource planning to ensure adequate, modernized Information Technology sufficient to carry out the mission of the business.
â¢ Must have a 4-year degree (Associates or Bachelor's)
â¢ Extensive background in the use and application of computer based systems
â¢ Proficient with Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
â¢ Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, ArcGIS, ArcMap, MapInfo, Tableau, MAPublisher are pluses
â¢ Effective organizational and time management skills
â¢ Excellent written and oral communication skills
