All job duties must be performed in a way that promotes safe practices in accordance with Leonard's established safety programs.Essential DutiesUnloads trailers received and places products in the appropriate location in the warehouseLoads trailers according to directions on the individualized load sheet provided for each trailerPerforms safety check on forklift and reports any issues with machinery to warehouse foremanEnsures proper and accurate product counts throughout shipping and receiving processMaintains cleanliness in trailersMaintains cleanliness of warehouseMaintains product integrity by ensuring refrigerated items are maintained at appropriate temperature at all times while at the warehouseReduces damage to product(s) by using proper moving techniquesSkills and AbilitiesSound organizational, records management, time management skills, and attention to detailGood interpersonal and customer service skills, well-developed verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work both as an individual contributor and a team memberThe ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities and meet assigned deadlinesAbility to work independently on assigned tasks, as well as to accept direction on given assignmentsPhysically capable of lifting 25 pounds regularly and up to 80 pounds periodicallyRequired to drive and safely maneuver a forklift with excellent manual dexterityPossession of a valid Class A CDL can yield a higher hourly wageEducation, Experience, and Other RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED)1 year of experience in a warehouseEquipment certificates for forklift, clamp truck, or pallet jack are desirable, but we can trainBenefitsStarting pay is for this position is $18.50 to $19.50 per hour or more based on experience.
