Title Position Reports To: Senior Assistant Director SALARY INFORMATION: In compliance with New York’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $52,000 - $57,000. Adelphi University considers factors such as departmental budgets, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Review student ISIR files for accuracy and completeness. Resolve FAFSA reject codes and C-flags.
Perform federal and institutional verification. Request and review federal tax returns and other financial aid documentation for consistency with application information. Resolve complex cases
Package files in accordance with federal, state and institutional policy. Review subsequent ISIR records and repackage awards when necessary.
Review appeals and exercise professional judgement following federal and institutional policies.
Effectively and independently manage and administer one of a group of special programs and/or specific student populations that require specific in-depth knowledge and understanding
Manage high volume processing as assigned
Utilize financial aid platforms such as NSLDS, COD and HESC.
Keep abreast on all federal, state and institutional policies concerning financial aid.
Collaborate with colleagues and make recommendations to further streamline ISIR processing
Answer inquiries from students, parents and other University personnel. Meet with parents and students regarding the affordability of the university and the calculation of out-of-pocket expenses
Conduct college nights if needed on and off campus.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Ability to prioritize workload according to volume, urgency, etc.
Ability to work effectively in stressful situations.
Computer skills for using Microsoft Office and the Internet.
Working extra hours may be required.

Bachelor’s Degree and/or 2 - 4 years current and responsible work experience in financial aid in a fast-paced customer-service oriented higher education environment.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
