The incumbent is responsible for performing a variety of general maintenance functions, including, patching and painting walls, replacing ceiling tiles and minor equipment, plumbing, carpentry repairs.Job DescriptionResponsibilities/Tasks/Duties
Install office partitions and furniture
Install a variety of flooring materials
Repair furniture
Patch and paint walls
Install and maintain door closers, locksets and passage sets
Perform minor plumbing repairs
Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment
Install bulletin boards and writing boards
Replace damaged, stained, or missing ceiling tiles
Replace damaged VCT floor tile
Refasten existing or replace damaged cover base
Analyze/assess problems quickly and accurately
Act independently and with little supervision
Learn new tasks and systems
To receive and give constructive feedback
To manage time well, accomplishing tasks on schedule
To use common hand tools
To use power tools
Ability to operate van, scissors lifts, basket trucks, and others as required
To understand written and verbal job instructions
To support company’s goals and objectives
Perform other related duties as assigned, such as snow removal, assisting other tradesmen and emergency repairs
