We seek a compassionate and experienced caregiver who embraces gentle parenting and attachment parenting principles. We’re a family in Wilton, NY, seeking a dedicated nanny who shares our values to care for our two-year-old child.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Hours: 40-50 hours per week, flexible schedule (can be handled by one person or split between two individuals - one part-time and one full-time).
LOCATION:
Wilton, NY (near McGregor Links).
RESPONSABILITIES:
Providing attentive and compassionate care for our child using gentle parenting and attachment parenting principles, engaging in nurturing interactions, fostering emotional connection, and supporting positive development.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
-Both parents work from home, creating a collaborative and supportive environment for childcare.
-Must be available to work holidays and weekends.
-Only one child in the household.
-Paid sick/personal days after 6 months. Paid vacation after one year.
-If you live nearby, we prefer that you live no further than half an hour away and that you must have reliable transportation.
-We are open to recent college graduates with a degree in child education or psychology.
-We are also open to a live-in arrangement with the right candidate.
REQUIREMENTS:
-Minimum 2 years of paid nanny (or child education) experience.
-CPR and First Aid certification.
-Minimum of 2 childcare-related references.
-Familiarity with gentle parenting and attachment parenting approaches.
-Willingness to undergo a background check and motor vehicle report screening.
-Willingness to undergo a drug screening.
-A degree in child care or education is a plus and will be considered in the pay.
COMPENSATION:
Starting at $20/25 per hour, with consideration for candidates with relevant degrees.
