Description:

The Membership and Special Events Assistant reports to and provides administrative support to the external affairs associate. This position is responsible for administrative tasks including: printing, mailing, and inputting of all-level membership's into the database.This position also assists with coordinating specific aspects of social events, in a style appropriate to an artistic environment when interacting with guests. Duties include,but are not limited to: Interacting with guests, handling order forms, rental assistance, and recording accurate financial and personal information from the event for easy transfer to the database.

Hours:

This is a full-time, year-round, hourly position. Work hours are Monday “ Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. Extended hours, nights, weekends during Special Events.

Requirements:

Position requires the following: excellent customer service skills, a polished personal presentation; able to answer telephones using appropriate etiquette; computer knowledge including proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel,Outlook); excellent overall business-level communication and writing skills. Must be detail oriented, able to handle multiple priorities and follow through with minimal supervision. Prior experience in membership database, event planning, and non-profit environment are highly preferred but not required.
