Small professional millwork company is seeking cabinet maker experienced in fabrication and installation of cabinets, casework, paneling and millwork products. We specialize in custom premium grade residential work.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare and set up machines and tooling for woodwork manufacturing
Operate woodworking machines, including saws and milling and sanding machines
Understand detailed architectural drawings, schematics, shop drawings, and blueprints
Lift wood pieces onto machines, either by hand or with hoists
Ensure that products meet industry standards and project specifications, making adjustments as necessary
Select and adjust the proper cutting, milling, boring, and sanding tools for completing a job
Verify and double check all calculations, always using blueprints or design plans for reference
Be exact in measurements and markings so that materials will be used efficiently and the projects will meet budgetary restrictions
Maintain a safe working environment by cleaning and disposing of old materials, such as nails and screws
Use hand tools to trim pieces or assemble products
Application of spray finishes, stains, oils and apoxies
Qualifications:
Minimum 2+ years in wood working
Able to read a measuring tape and understanding of necessary mathematics
Trained in the use of all woodworking machinery (set up, operation, maintenance)
Must be able to fabricate cabinets from start to finish
Must be able to read and execute shop drawings
Ability to travel to various job sites with a valid driver’s license
Pass a background check
Ability to program CNC machinery a plus
Must be punctual and reliable
