Licensed Social Workers or Mental Health professionals are eligible for $7500 signing bonus! As a Foster Care Clinician, you will provide clinical services to children in foster care and support foster families, and families within the foster care system. The Therapeutic Foster Family Program provides foster and pre-adoptive foster homes for abused and neglected children from birth through age 21. Each foster parent receives intensive training and ongoing professional support to promote a positive, successful experience. You will report to the Clinical Supervisor and you will work onsite. Travel within the community is required and will need to travel as far as Hudson, NY. Responsibilities:

Provide assessment, treatment planning and general counseling for children in foster care.

Provide individual, group, and family therapy to children and families, when needed

Conduct specialized risk assessments

Consult with other staff involved in the care of the child and families

Attend all case related meetings (Counsel on Special Education, Termination of Parental Rights, staff meetings, service provider meetings, emergency meetings, court), for cases they are serving

Participate in formal and informal supervision.

Meet regularly in the community regarding cases they are seeing for general counseling.

Have regular communication/meeting with birth families around progress/problems of children in care and how to support them in and work towards permanency.

Provide regular case documentation for all children and families on workload including assessments, progress notes, Family Service Plan, etc.

Requirements and Education:

Requires a Master’s degree in counseling with related experience.

Limited permit is required; professional licensure (LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCAT) preferred.
