Description We are offering a long-term part-time contract employment opportunity for a Controller in the Manufacturing industry. In this role, you will be crucial to our transactional staff, managing a team and ensuring the smooth transition of responsibilities from the departing Controller. Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the accounting functions of the organization Support the month-end close process to ensure accuracy and timeliness Utilize QuickBooks to process and manage financial information Supervise the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes Manage and mentor the staff to ensure efficient operation Perform regular auditing to maintain the integrity of financial information Oversee and manage the organization's budget processes Ensure compliance with accounting and financial regulations and standards.Requirements Demonstrated proficiency in managing Accounting Functions Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Familiarity with Auditing practices and principles Ability to oversee and manage Budget Processes Proficiency in using QuickBooks software for financial management Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field Proven experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to accounting and financial reporting CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team when necessary High attention to detail and accuracy.
