We are hiring for a Lab Director for a new and exciting laboratory in Hauppauge NY!We’re currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Lab Director to lead and develop our brand new laboratory from the ground up. You’ll oversee our state-of-the-art laboratory facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and driving innovation. Your leadership will directly impact the quality and efficacy of our nutraceutical products.Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the overall laboratory strategy aligned with Nutraceutical’s mission and vision.
Responsible for all analytical duties and administration based responsibilities including hiring, lab layout, equipment purchasing and more.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product innovation and enhance formulations.
Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant guidelines.
Oversee testing protocols, including raw materials, in-process, and finished product testing.
Foster a culture of scientific curiosity and continuous improvement.
Work closely with our scientific team to explore novel approaches to health and wellness.
Team Management: Oversee a team of lab technicians, chemists & microbiologists.
Provide mentorship, training, and professional development opportunities.
Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Qualifications:
Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in a lab environment in a leadership role, preferably within the nutraceutical industry.
Strong knowledge of analytical techniques, including HPLC, GC-MS, and spectroscopy.
Proven leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Excellent communication and project management abilities.
