Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Administrative Assistant in the non-profit sector based in Hempstead, New York. This role is integral to our team as it involves providing administrative support, processing donations, preparing reports, and managing communication channels.Responsibilities: Provide administrative support to the team, including scheduling appointments and maintaining organized records. Handle inbound and outbound calls, answering queries and directing calls as necessary. Enter donation information accurately into the database and maintain detailed records. Prepare and submit monthly reports and statistical data for various stakeholders. Attend committee meetings, prepare recommendations, and manage incident/accident reports. Manage the receipt and distribution of monetary donations. Handle customer service tasks, including resolving inquiries and managing email correspondence. Use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) to prepare documents, reports, and presentations. Conduct data entry tasks as required, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Perform other administrative duties as required, including ordering supplies and scheduling drills. Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative role within a non-profit organization Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Experience in managing inbound and outbound calls Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with various stakeholders Proficient in data entry tasks and maintaining databases Experience in managing email correspondence professionally and effectively Ability to schedule appointments and manage calendars Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team High attention to detail and problem-solving skills Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and systems.
