Established sheet metal fabricator is seeking a CAD Drafter
Use Autodesk Inventor to create comprehensive 3D models of the products
Create shop drawings of those models for the factory workers to use and reference if there are any questions.
Send 3rd party agencies such as UL, Miami-Dade, TX dept of Insurance construction drawings and installation instructions.
Engineering of new products
Use Autodesk AutoCAD to create 2D drawings of products.
These drawings include dimensioned views as well as cut-a-way views. Installation guides with detailed screw patterns of each product with material properties and various tolerances.
Be a company liaison with UL when they perform their quarterly inspections.
Travel to testing agencies to observe and document the testing of our products.

This is a hands on job working in the factory on PREMISES where the products are manufactured.

There is a logical reason for this. In order to do the drawing accurately, you must have the part in your hands. You need tools such as a tape measure and caliper. Then you can start to construct your model in the software. Even if you are only down the street, you cannot accomplish this and do not try to convince me otherwise. I have tried it in the past and it was a dismal failure. A lot of money and time was wasted with nothing accomplished.
