Pinkerton’s is a new bakery opening in the historic upstate city of Kingston, NY, by James Beard award winning pastry chef Angela Pinkerton. Chef has spent the past twenty-five years driving bakery and fine dining restaurant pastry programs in San Francisco, New York City and the DC area. Our offerings will include nostalgic desserts, morning pastries, and sweet/savory cakes and pies, as well as a small menu of breakfast, and lunch items. Always baking from scratch, and using local seasonal ingredients, there will be something for everyone, as well as including some gluten-free, and vegan options.
We are currently hiring for our opening retail counter team, positions starting in September 2024.
Positions will start at part time hours and can develop into a full-time position as we grow. A full-time position, possible management position is definitely in the cards for the right person.

We are looking for a couple trustworthy, intelligent, dependable, (fun) and kind people to become part of our customer facing counter team.
Your daily duties will include but are not limited to taking care of walk-in customers, setting up for daily sales, packaging for retail, wholesale and shipping, opening and/or closing cleaning duties, and working in unison with the kitchen team to accomplish the daily needs of the business.
A bit about our ideal candidate(s);
Two years of solid customer service experience in a high-quality food-based establishment. Bakery and café experience is a huge plus.
Candidates must have solid personal presentation, interpersonal and communication skills.
Are good at problem solving, challenge yourself to be your best and have an eye for detail.
Available for early, mid and/or late morning shifts. Weekend shifts are mandatory.
Enjoy providing good hospitality, to our customers and to your team members.
Able to work well under time constraint, while maintaining high standards, and attention to detail.
You are dependable, professional, on time and ready to start your scheduled time.
You have a sense of humor, are respectful to others, enjoy hospitality, and making others happy.
