The newly reopened West Taghkanic Diner is looking for an AM manager to join our team!
About us:
We're a community oriented bunch of folk who are invested in making our spot a welcoming environment.
Our menu is heavy on locally sourced foods, & our beverage program is centered around natural wines, craft beer, & New York produced spirits.
Owner/chef Kris Schram has spent over 15 years working in kitchens, seven of them in Copenhagen, Denmark, alongside Christian Puglisi of restaurant group Relæ. Together they opened Bæst, an internationally awarded restaurant known for its house made mozzerella, charcuterie and wood fired sourdough pizzas. Prior to that Kris was in Californias Napa Valley working as chef de cuisine of the James Beard Award winning Terra Restaurant.
With Kris at the helm and an incredibly talented crew right in stride, we'll be using inspired techniques and elevated ingredients to spotlight the classic dishes that created America's diner culture.
About you:
A go getter, hard worker, and visionary.
A leader who can establish service standards and train employees accordingly.
A sharp eye and emphasis on attention to detail.
A background in the service industry (preferably managerial positions) and an understanding of front of house procedures. Must be comfortable navigating a space with an understanding of the flow of service.
Welcoming, warm, & comfortable with customers we're looking for someone to be the face of our crew.
Available Thursday - Sunday for breakfast/lunch.
