Job Summary:
Mighty Donuts is a new donut and coffee shop opening in Red Hook. We will be serving hand-made donuts and other breakfast items, and will offer a full gourmet coffee and tea menu. We are looking for someone to help us create a customer experience that includes prompt and friendly service, in a clean and comfortable family-friendly environment.
Job Title: Baker
Are you a skilled artisan with a passion for creating baked goods? Join our team at Mighty Donuts and be a key player in delivering the best donuts that make our customers smile at Mighty Donuts and Coffee. This is a skilled baking/pastry position that reports directly to the Chefs.
Responsibilities:
Baking Execution: Execute the daily production of a variety of baked goods, including donuts, pastries, glazes and other specialty items, ensuring the highest standards of taste, texture, and presentation.
Recipe Adherence: Follow established recipes and techniques, while also contributing creative ideas to enhance and diversify our product offerings. Collaborate with the team on recipe development.
Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality checks on ingredients and finished products to maintain consistency and uphold the bakery's reputation for excellence.
Timely Production: Manage time efficiently to meet daily production targets. Coordinate with the Chefs to ensure a smooth workflow during peak hours.
Cleanliness and Sanitation: Adhere to strict hygiene and sanitation standards in the bakery. Keep workstations, equipment, and utensils clean and well-maintained.
Innovation: Stay updated on baking trends and industry developments. Introduce new and innovative products to keep the bakery's offerings fresh and exciting.
Requirements:
- Experience is preferred as a baker/ pastry cook in a bakery/restaurant setting.
- Creativity in designing and decorating donuts.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing demands and product offerings.

- Schedule: this is a full time position that will requires early morning and weekend availability
- Shift runs from 2am - 9/10am.
Compensation: This is an hourly position. $20/hr
