Mirador is Seeking a Sous Chef
Mirador is a Spanish tapas bar inspired by the tabancos (taverns) of Andalucía in Southern Spain. Opened in December 2023, we are approaching our one year anniversary, and seeking a Sous chef to join the team. Mirador has received numerous accolades in our first year of business, including Esquire’s “Best Bars in America” list, Hudson Valley Magazine’s “Best New Restaurants,” and have been featured in local and national press.
The kitchen is helmed by CDC Massoud Violette-Sheikh, formerly of Michelin Starred Batard in Tribeca, NYC. The food program is anchored in the tapas tradition of Spain, but with a creative modern wine bar aesthetic. Emphasis is placed on high quality ingredients from Spain and from local farms and purveyors prepared to a high standard of presentation.
This is a full time, salaried position, Thursdays-Mondays.
Responsibilities
-Training and overseeing line and prep cooks
-Prepping and maintaining your station
-Assisting with ordering
-Executing dishes during service
-Work closely with Chef to maintain and update the menu which changes frequently
-Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
