With the launch of Isabela, Michelin star chef Jose Ramirez returns to the New York dining scene with the next evolution of his chef journey, opening a restaurant and bar in Amenia, NY. Isabela will be a bistro of sorts, home to elevated food in a relaxed and jovial environment. Guests will gather for world class food & wine and spirited conversations. Position Overview:
The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our restaurant's day-to-day operations, including managing staff, maintaining high levels of guest satisfaction, and collaborating on the beverage program. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, a proven track record of leadership, and a strong understanding of front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Staff Management: Hire, train, and develop staff to provide excellent service and foster a positive work environment. Lead by example and maintain high morale among team members.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee the daily operations of the bar and dining room, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and up to standard.
- Guest Experience: Ensure an exceptional dining and drinking experience for all guests, promptly addressing any concerns or feedback.
- Marketing & Promotion: Collaborate with the chef to market and promote the restaurant in order to attract new guests and build loyalty.
- Inventory & Ordering: Oversee inventory levels, place orders, and manage vendor relationships to ensure the bar and dining room are well-stocked.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure that all health, safety, and regulatory requirements are always met.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a General Manager or in a similar restaurant or hospitality industry management role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- In-depth knowledge of bar and restaurant operations, including staffing, inventory, and financial management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.
- Knowledge of POS systems and scheduling software.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
