Overview
We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Studio Assistant to support daily operations in a dynamic art studio. This role focuses on studio upkeep, organization, errands, and supporting fabrication processes. Knowledge of basic materials (wood, metal, ceramics, hardware, tools) is a plus.
Responsibilities
Cleaning and maintaining the studio (sweeping, mopping, trash/recycling, daily reset)
Organizing tools, materials, shelves, and storage areas
Running errands (hardware store, post office, supply pickup)
Packing, unpacking, labeling, and basic inventory assistance
Preparing workspaces for fabrication (clearing tables, covering surfaces, setting up materials)
Assisting with deliveries and loading/unloading (must lift 40 lbs)
Providing hands-on support during fabrication when instructed
General support tasks as needed
Trial Period
This position begins with a paid trial period to ensure a good fit on both sides.
Paid trial duration: 1–2 weeks
Requirements
Dependable and punctual
Comfortable with physical tasks and standing for extended periods
Able to lift up to 40 lbs
Valid driver’s license and car
Comfortable driving locally for errands and pickups
Calm attitude in a busy studio environment
Reliable availability on scheduled workdays
