Go Goats Milk is a goat farm located in Middletown, NY. We are a New York State licensed seller of fresh raw goat's milk and pasteurized cheeses. We have a herd of adult and baby goats.
In addition to our herd of goats, we have free range chickens, two geese, and a horse, so you must be comfortable working around all the animals.
We are looking to hire for our 'Farm Hand/Milker' position which can include a wide variety of tasks, and requires working outdoors in all weather conditions. Daily chores will include:
- feeding hay and grain to goats and the horse twice daily, once in the morning and once in the afternoon
- feeding chickens and geese; collecting, washing, and packaging eggs
- emptying and refilling waters for all animals, sometimes twice daily on hot days when they go through a lot of water
-milking procedures and cheese making morning and afternoon
There will be other miscellaneous tasks on the property that will need to be done.
Farm experience is preferred. We go to farmers markets in the area so market experience would be great as well. Both full and part-time positions are available, and weekend availability is a must.
