Churchtown Dairy is seeking a part-time PART-TIME FARM STORE ASSOCIATE
Churchtown Dairy’s Farm Store & Welcome Center serves as a point of contact for visitors to access information about our dairy and agricultural practices. In the store visitors are also able to purchase Churchtown Dairy raw milk, cheese, meats, medicinal products, herbal teas, and a variety of products from other local producers.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
Greet visitors - offer hospitality and assistance in a warm and friendly manner
Open and close the store
Establish and maintain an orderly and clean store, staff kitchen and restrooms
Answer questions about the farm
Assist with packaging and restocking the store as needed
Inventory of meat and retrieval from off-site freezer
Weigh, price and stock meat
Help maintain a safe working environment in accordance with sanitation and hygiene regulations and Churchtown Dairy protocols

Requirements:
This position is for 2 shifts per week - Sunday and Monday - totaling 16 hours. (We will entertain an alternative schedule, Friday and Saturday, for the right candidate.)
Prior retail or restaurant experience preferred
Must be available to work weekends and holidays, flexibility to cover shifts as needed. (The store is open for most major holidays with the exception of Christmas and New Year’s Day)
Valid NYS driver’s license is necessary because driving company vehicles for pickups or deliveries is a component of the job duties
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
ServSafe Food Handlers certificate a plus
COMPENSATION
Hourly, $21-23 per hour based on experience + 25% discount on all Farm Store products
