Looking for a Self-motivated, positively charged individual looking for local work around Hudson Valley focusing on the areas of Middletown/Newburgh/Poughkeepsie and around. All Commercial and local government buildings. No NYC work! No Residential!
Sub-Contractor position: Payment via 1099 per job, through sending your invoice via email. Payment will be $200 per 1st service call of the day. If first service call extends beyond 4 hours rate will be extra $100 per/hour. Any additional service calls of the day are $100 each. Payments will be by check every 2 weeks.
Preferred with 2+ years Trouble Shooting/Installation experience in the field with Security Systems, CCTV, Access Control.
Skilled in:
- IP CCTV cameras, Analogue CCTV cameras, NVRS/DVRS,
- Running Cat5/6 cable, coax RG59 terminating ends (BNCS/RJ45s)
- Ladder work
- Laptop configuration of IP Cameras, Network interfacing
- Electronic Door Locks/Strikes and Mag Locks 12/24VDC.
- Trouble shooting, detecting faults on Cable, and equipment
- Identifying and Confirming problems with Accuracy and Implementing Corrective Solutions
- Copper cable fixing, splicing, weatherproofing
- Multimeter experience with competency
- Installing Cameras and Access control equipment: drilling including hammer-drilling
Tools:
- Must have own vehicle
- Hand Tools, drills
- Cat5/6 Crimper
- Cat5/6 Test equipment to detect faults
- Multimeter
- Ladders/rods (can also be provided)
- IP Camera monitor/tester
Confidence in communication with customer and courtesy essential
Background Check will be performed at no cost
Payment will be via 1099 form. This means you are a Sub-Contractor and you will be paid directly with no tax deducted. This is a 'grass-roots' position. Only Parking receipts are paid for, (not gas) when emailed along with invoice. Payment will be by check. Position includes great potential to excel to higher pay by being on-time to installs/appointments/service calls. Clean up after site-visit complete essential. Communicating to Management via email to ensure good working relations and records of all important information relating to jobs.
