Independent Landscape Maintenance Technician
We are looking for someone who is very serious about landscape & garden maintenance and who is interested in growing the maintenance department and to eventually lead it. We are looking for someone who can see building a career with Ferncreek Design & Build. This would still be a one person department but the crew would be available to you for Spring & Fall cleanups and whenever materials are needed that require the truck and trailer.
While the department is growing, work with the landscape installation crew might be available to help compensate.
Description
Work independently on your own schedule to maintain client’s gardens
This is a part time position and will fluctuate in hours as jobs become available and you show ability and reliability
You provide your own hand tools and vehicle
Consultations & correspondence with clients (this can come in time once we feel we’re a good fit)
Maintaining a spreadsheet of client details (we can teach you if you don’t have that experience)
Qualifications
Experience with garden maintenance
Extreme attention to detail
Weeding, Edging, Planting, Mulching, Dead-heading, Trimming, Raking
You must have a reliable vehicle and your own hand tools – rakes, shovel, edger, pruners, etc
Reliability is essential, but you will have great flexibility in scheduling to suit your needs
Compensation
$23/hr to start as an employee (we provide workman’s comp, unemployment, & family leave)
$30/hr to start as an independent contractor (must have workman’s comp policy)
