## Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled SOLAR Electrician to join our team. The Solar Electrician will be responsible for installing the electrical side of projects, and ensuring compliance with safety standards, NEC Code, and NYSERDA requirements.
The solar electrician will be given a work van which can be parked at his house or can be picked up at the office. All required tools will be provided by Solar Company.
## Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair Solar Panel electrical systems in residential and commercial settings
- Completing projects on time on the AC Electrical side of the solar install (usually 1 inverter, 1 disconnect and a conduit path to the roof in the attic)
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Perform low voltage wiring installations
- Perform site surveys and take pictures of upcoming projects
- Do equipment inventory once per week
- Inspect electrical systems and equipment for issues
## Skills
- Proficiency in solar electrical including wiring, troubleshooting, and repairs
- Strong knowledge of NEC and NYSERDA codes and regulations related to electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics accurately
- Experience using a voltmeter to test electrical circuits
- Familiarity with forklift operation for accessing elevated areas
This is a full time salaried position with a base pay of $50,000-$80,000 depending on experience. (having an electrical license will be higher pay)
