Residential Summer Camp Health Director, $30/hr

Telluride Association is hiring a Residential Camp Director for its high school summer program in Ithaca, NY. This position is part-time during the prep period, and full-time and living on site during the program from 6/22-8/3/24. The program is held at the Cornell Branch of the Telluride Association, a beautiful historic house.

The Health Director directly supports the health and safety of participants and staff at the Telluride Association Summer Seminar (TASS) located at Cornell Branch of the Telluride Association, as well as assisting the Summer Program Manager in supporting the health and safety needs of TASS participants and staff at other sites. The Cornell TASS program hosts approximately 28 junior and senior high school students for an educational summer program centered around a college-level seminar in the humanities.

Location: 217 West Avenue, Ithaca, NY 14850.

Required qualifications:

- Must have New York State certification as a physician, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, or emergency medical technician. LPN, NP, or RN preferred.

- Must possess valid CPR and First Aid certifications dated within one year of the program.

Hours:

- Prep period: From June 3 – June 21, 2024, 20 hours over 5 days per week. Remote or hybrid work possible during this period. Travel may be required for trainings, if not already certified.

- Program period: From June 22 – August 3, 2024, approximately 40 hours over 5 days per week. Evening and weekend hours required. Required to reside on-site during this period.

Compensation:

- During prep period: $30/hr

- During program period: $1,200/wk

Benefits: This position is not benefits eligible. However, this position does receive paid sick leave.
