F & M Slater is looking for Independent Contractors to deliver the Ithaca Journal newspaper and various other publications to subscribers Monday thru Saturday, including holidays. Early morning hours. Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, automobile insurance, and S.S. card.
We deliver no matter what the weather, which can sometimes cause delivery to run later than the deadline, so please consider this when applying if you have other employment. It is the carriers responsibility to provide a substitute driver if the carrier is unable to deliver at any given time. It is also the carrier's responsibility to get another vehicle is their's has a breakdown at any given time.
We are offering a week paid vacation after you have been contracted with us for 1 year. Once again, if you need a day off, it is your responsibility to have a sub-driver lined up.
Monday thru Friday the deadline is 6AM and Saturday 7AM.
Delivery Routes available in the following areas:
Newfield/Spencer - Around $208 weekly compensation plus tip$
Danby/Spencer - Around $225 weekly plus tip$
Ithaca/Enfield - Around $190 weekly plus tip$
