Finger Lakes Firewood job description:
Experience is not required.
A driver's license is required
You will primarily be operating the Multitek 2040XP firewood processor. You will also be operating the wheel loader loading logs on the deck of the firewood processor. You will be moving the dump trucks under the conveyor and leveling them off as they become full. Other duties include general cleanup, greasing and fueling the machinery.
Mechanical skills are a plus as things need fixing occasionally
The workday usually begins at 6:30 AM and goes till sometime in the afternoon, usually till 3 and 4 Monday thru Friday. During hot summer weather we will start earlier, at first light.
No smoking on this job.
Cell phone use except for job related calls or texts is not permitted.
Steel toe boots are required.
You should be able to lift 150 Lbs. easily from time to time
Gloves will be provided and are mandatory when processing.
Must be able to pass a drug urine test .
Pay period is every 2 weeks.
Lunch break is a half hour between loads.
