The Global Events Strategist will be a significant part of initiatives to raise our profile, spark customer engagement, and generate qualified sales leads. This is a highly visible role which allows you to work closely with the Marketing Director and the VP of Global Sales. You will also have the independence to develop and grow this role to have the greatest overall impact on our organization, both domestically and internationally.

As our Marketing Global Events StrategistÂworking in ourÂIthaca, NY corporate headquarters, you will rely upon your previous event management experience and business acumen to drive the overall strategy for our worldwide events. Though drawing upon your previous experience in event management, this is not an event planning role, and will require someone with a strong ability to see the big picture as you work with key decision makers around the globe to be the driving force behind strategic event management initiatives. You will collaborate with and influence multiple stakeholders, including vertical marketing strategists, business unit leads, region/country leads, marketing partners and agencies to create carefully crafted event strategies to reach our target audiences throughout their purchase journey, tied into the tracking of event metrics with a variety of new and experimental approaches.

Key responsibilities of this role will include, but not be limited to:

Drive marketing strategy, planning, execution, and measurement of return for global events to meet corporate goals

Manage a strategic calendar of global events, coordinate and plan events in collaboration with the sales and marketing teams and participate in developing a framework to analyze and evaluate events for ROI

Develop corporate and campaign strategies to get the most from the event budget, develop strong relationships, enhance brand visibility, and drive lead generation and sales

Shape Palisades presence at key internal and external events, and trade shows around the globe

Define event strategies that align to business strategies and goals based upon a deep understanding of the event audience, ecosystem landscape and best practices such that Palisades presence achieves maximum impact

Highly creative and innovative marketer, creating opportunities and experiences that will drive greater awareness and preference for Palisade products and relevance in key verticals

Define Palisades overall events strategy - from branding and, messaging/narrative to demos and activations - to create a seamless and impactful experience among attendees

Regularly track, consolidate and communicate results, making recommendations on future optimization based on results

Manage event budgets with a keen understanding for how dollars have been allocated across regions/countries, marketing partners, agencies; provide regular budget updates, manage any relevant transfers and flags any issues with budgets

Successful candidates will bring to the role:

A Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

Strong experience with Microsoft Office products; especially Excel

Familiarity with marketing programs; particularly Marketo

CRM experience with Salesforce and/or Microsoft Dynamics

Previous experience with both large and niche events including worldwide industry tradeshows, professional society meetings and conferences, global workshops, conferences, and seminars

Solid understanding of sales and marketing motions and GTM planning

Ability to effectively adapt to change and/or manage conflict and in an effort to lead teams toward achieving common goals; strong problem-solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, with experience creating and delivering influential presentations to senior levels of internal and external management teams

Self-motivation and an ability to work independently to make decision
