Hanes Supply, Inc. is a well-established full -line industrial manufacturer of slings and contractor supplier specializing in lifting solutions. Hanes Supply offers a comprehensive and diverse product line to its customers including: rigging, fall protection, power tools, fasteners, hand tools, construction and safety equipment. Headquartered in Buffalo, NY, Hanes has five branches located throughout the Northeast.
Position Summary: Sales Representatives are responsible for promoting the Hanes product line, maintaining accounts and protecting the professional image of Hanes Supply in all their dealings with customers and the general public. This is a position that requires traveling throughout the U.S. and targets local, regional, and national accounts. This position will be based out of Rochester, NY.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Observes all safety procedures, rules and regulations, and instruction in performance of job duties.
Provides superior customer service for existing customer accounts; handles customer questions, complaints and concerns in a timely fashion.
Obtains sales quotes requested by potential customers in a timely manner; converts sales opportunities to customer orders.
Ensures all work orders are completed accurately and reflect specific customer requirements.
Facilitates the completion of an order taking into account that Hanes is able to provide a fully compliant application of purchased and/or manufactured products to satisfy a specific application or solve a customer problem.
Provides and counsels Hanes product application expertise to existing or new customers.
During the manufacturing process, communicates with customer to ensure their production requirements are met; in addition, advises them of any changes recommended by Hanes.
Enlists the help of an Inside Sales Associate and a member of the manufacturing team prior to making any changes to a customer order.
Contacts customers to determine acceptable delivery dates and updates the work order to reflect the promised date.
Keeps in mind other product manufactured by Hanes that could develop into problem solving techniques for another customer.
Builds an ongoing relationship with customers and users both face to face and electronically.
Weekly traveling to customers and jobsites with high profile projects
Visits trade shows or other venues to demonstrate products or services or to answer questions from potential customers
Learns about competitorsâ products or consumersâ interests or concerns to answer questions or provide more complete information
Provides onsite customer specified applications, reviews, advises and inspects where appropriate.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to develop working relationships with all levels at different client sites.
Able to be flexible, traveling with different durations of time
Ability to be self-motivated and work independently as well as in a team environment.
Most possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Working knowledge of computer software for inventory and sales order systems is required.
Knowledgeable in all facets of customer service, the ability to close sale deals and maintain and seek out new customers is required.
Must have effective time management and planning skills.
Level of Education and Experience:
High school Diploma or equivalency required; Bachelorâs Degree in Sales or Marketing is desired.
Trade, manufacturing, industrial and contractor experience is highly desired.
Prior manufacturing experience and working with quality systems in an ISO environment is highly desired.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions and is exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and fumes.
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet while in the office, or light to moderately loud when out in the field driving.
Drivers are likely to drive on motorways for long periods of time.
Drivers are expected to work in all weather conditions including snow and icy conditions therefore they need to be alert and careful at all times.
