Have you heard of Highlander Folk Center? where Rosa Parks went before the infamous bus ride? We are working on a unique crime series pilot centering around northern liberals involving themselves with a murder case in rural TN. A frame job of a young visitor to hide the Sheriff's family's illicit opioid pill ring. A place called "the Mountain," where people are now afraid to talk though it is discovered it once was a different place altogether, where a small social justice school changed the world and then was locked down under racial tension disguised as a communist scare. This story raises questions of "justice for all" in crime story setting, when liberal advocates are faced with fighting for the rights of a young white man in a position many black men have known too well.
