We are looking for a Service Technician to help install and repair propane and fuel oil equipment.
Our service technicians will set and pick up propane tanks, install heaters, stoves, furnaces and boilers, run gas line, and troubleshoot and repair all of that equipment. Our techs enjoy the fact that it's mostly independent work, outdoors, and you get to develop a relationship with customers who are really counting on you to keep them warm. We work in Tompkins/Seneca/Schuyler and the surrounding counties, so there isn't huge travel that gets you away from home (though we do have opportunities for occasional travel for training and conferences).
We're a stable company. We don't lay people off in the slow season. We offer good pay and very good benefits including a health insurance plan that's basically free, a 401(k), paid time offf, and discounts on home heating fuel and products.
All technicians are expected to serve on-call for a week at a time every five weeks (and of course paid and bonused for it).
Applicants must have a clean license and the ability to pass a background check. A CDL with hazmat endorsement will be necessary, though we can train you up to this.
