This role has the opportunity to grow to support the Family of Companies. As the State Contract Administrator, you will oversee and manage state contracts from inception to completion. This role involves preparing, analyzing, negotiating, and reviewing various types of contracts to ensure compliance with state laws and regulations. The State Contract Administrator will work closely with various state departments, vendors, and legal teams to facilitate contract processes and resolve any issues that may arise.Key Responsibilities:

Contract Management:

Develop, review, and negotiate state contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, policies, and procedures.

Maintain a repository of all contracts, amendments, and associated documentation.

Monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with terms and conditions.

Internal trainings to support branches in their understanding of contract usage and terms.

Vendor Management:

Collaborate with vendors to address and resolve contract-related issues.

Conduct vendor evaluations and maintain strong relationships to ensure quality service delivery.

Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure all contracts adhere to state regulations and policies.

Identify potential risks and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.

Conduct audits and reviews to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

Administrative Duties:

Prepare and present reports on contract status, compliance, and performance metrics.

Provide training and guidance to staff on contract management processes and procedures.

Assist in the development and implementation of contract management policies and guidelines.

Gather and submit pricing updates.

Update ongoing subcontractor/vendor searches to add to contract.

Act as POC for new project prospects and need to distribute to appropriate offices.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Contract Management, Law, or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of [number] years of experience in contract administration or a related field.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of contract law and state procurement regulations.

Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) or similar certification.

Experience working with government contracts.

Advanced degree in a relevant field.
