Flower Hill Collectables, one of the largest certified coin wholesalers, has a career opportunity for a full-time professional who excels in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. We are looking for an Accountant Bookkeeper to join our team! You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial records for our company.
Responsibilities:
-Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions, including sales, purchases, inventory, and taxes
-Account Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records. - - -Reporting financial statements to management, including profit and loss reports, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis.
-Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process and track accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections. Work with customers and vendors to resolve any discrepancies.
-Tax Compliance: Assist in preparing tax documents and ensuring proper tax compliance, including sales tax reporting and any other applicable taxes.
-Payroll Support: Assist in processing payroll and ensuring compliance with payroll tax regulations.
-Software Utilization: Utilize QuickBooks accounting software to record transactions, run reports, and track financial data.
-Customer Service: Assist with customer inquiries related to billing, payment status, and account information.
-Create new processes to improve financial efficiency
Qualifications:
-Previous experience in accounting/bookkeeping or similar role.
-Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
-Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office.
-Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
-Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
-Strong analytical and problem solving skills
-Knowledge of sales tax regulations and experience with tax reporting.
-Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
-Familiarity with coins, numismatics, or collectables is a plus, but not required.
-Education & Experience:
Associate’s degree in accounting.
-3 years of bookkeeping experience, ideally in a retail setting.
Work Environment and Schedule:
-Office-based position, with a dynamic and supportive team.
-Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
