We are a distributor of air compressor parts located in West Hempstead. Our company has been in business for over 40 years; we currently have approximately 35 employees. We are looking to fill a full-time position for Customer Service Representative.
This job requires extensive use of our computer system. (Epicor ERP) It includes answering customer phone calls, faxes and emails. Functions such as quoting prices to customers, entering sales orders in the computer, and scanning documents to the computer, acknowledging sales orders, purchasing and other functions as needed in servicing our customers. The candidate must have superior people skills, outstanding phone etiquette, follow-up and multitasking abilities.
The ideal candidate for the position will possess the following:
- Must be fluent in verbal and written English
- Strong interpersonal skills with a positive personality and professional image, always putting the customer experience first
- Must work well with others, and enjoy working in a collaborative environment
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, gmail and any accounting software
- A minimum of 4 years verifiable experience in customer service at a company selling a product or similar job
- The ability to speak Spanish is a plus
- Experience within a manufacturing or distribution company is a plus
Our ideal candidate will not necessarily be the applicant with the most experience. We are seeking an employee that will demonstrate maturity and wants to enjoy the challenge of learning new things.
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:15 am to 5:00 pm (40 hour work-week)
