Lifeguard Position for apartment community pool in Middle Island.

Seasonal position from May 31st through Sept. 2nd.
Hiring full-time or part-time.
Pool hours from 12p-7pm Daily
Shifts start at 1145a and ends at 715p to properly prepare and/or close up pool facility.
Must pass CPR and/or lifeguard certification course (which will be provided).
Supervise and Guard all swimming activities at the pool facility and ensure that policies, guidelines, and safety procedures are followed.
Prepare pool facilities, check and/or inspect equipment. Test water levels and keep log records updated and maintain a clean environment in and around the pool area.
Maintain current resident sign in logs and adhere to do not admit list.
Assist Staff with any pool-related responsibilities as needed.
Ability to be proactive and warn swimmers of improper activities and/or danger and enforce pool regulations and water safety policies.
Provide rescues as needed including but not limited to administering first aid in the event of injury, rescue swimmers in distress or danger of drowning, and administer CPR and/or artificial respiration, if necessary.
Evaluate conditions and monitor weather reports for safety and initiate aquatics emergency action plan or evacuation if necessary and direct swimmers out of the pool in hazardous conditions.
Prior experience in Lifeguarding helpful but not necessary.
