We are seeking a skilled and passionate Baker to join our team at our Italian bakery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pastries, cakes, and cookies and a love for preparing traditional Italian baked goods. As a Baker, your main responsibility will be preparing, baking, and decorating a variety of pastries, breads, and cakes while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Your creativity and attention to detail will play a crucial role in delighting our customers and enhancing their experience.
Duties:
Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods including breads, pastries, cakes, and cookies.
Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair to meet customer specifications.
Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to during preparation and production.
Package finished products attractively for display or catering orders.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking area, including tools and equipment.
Collaborate with team members to fulfill catering orders and special requests.
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers about products and taking special orders.
Experience:
Previous experience in the food industry, especially in a bakery or Italian baking environment, is preferred.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with clients.
Proficient in using kitchen tools such as knives, mixers, ovens, and other baking equipment.
Experience in cake decorating is a plus; creativity in presentation is highly valued.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
