EXPERIENCED food service worker – wanted immediately for office Brand New Office building cafe. No night’s weekends or holidays!

Seeking an experienced chef/cook/foodservice worker for brand new Cafe in an office building with multiple companies containing 500 workers total and we are also open to the outside public.

This is a Monday to Friday schedule with nights weekends and holidays off.

This is not part of any large food service company like Compass, Sodexo or Aramark.

The cafe is also open to the public not just the building.

Hours of operation: Monday - Friday (café is open 8:00:am-3:00pm) - you will get 40hrs

I am looking for someone who’s not afraid to step up, bring new ideas and a positive attitude. You will be working under the Executive chef who has 20+ years of experience and graduated Johnson & Wales University for culinary arts.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced individual who is tired of the traditional restaurant schedule. Show me who you are and what you can do.

Compensation: Depending on experience and result of interview/bench test by executive chef. If you have the necessary and desired skills your payment will reflect that.

The ideal Candidate:

- Years of experience in all aspects of the kitchen and kitchen equipment

o Please do not apply if you don’t have at least 5 years of experience

- Punctuality – ready to work at start of shift meaning when you clock in you start working

- Have own or reliable transportation to work

o Excuses for tardiness due to missing your ride will not be tolerated

- Efficient at multitasking

o An absolute must

- knows how to use a register / POS system

o POS system is Clover

- Knowledge of HACCP

- Catering skills

o Batch cooking and prepping

o we will be doing a lot of catering for the building including breakfast meetings and luncheons

o we also offer to go catering.

o Plating skills

- Guest relations and communication

o Attending to customers in a professional manner

- Knife skills

o Be prepared to have a basic test

- Time management

o Completing tasks in timeframe listed

- Labeling and dating knowledge

- Short order cooking

o Fast paced Breakfast and lunch

o Deli skills

- Stocking

o FIFO

- Temperature logs

o These will be taken daily and every 2 hours

 Complete log book for reference

- Positive attitude

- contributes ideas

o compensation bonus for profitable ideas

- Follows direction of Chef

o Compete all tasks assigned

- Must be able to lift 50lbs and stand on feet for extended hours

- Maintains proper personal hygiene

o Clean chef coat and pants

o Hat required for all employees or a hairnet

- NO OUT OF WORK DRAMA OR BAGGAGE

o We all have problems – leave yours at the door
