Oak and Orange Hospitality is looking for a Prep Cook/Sandwich Maker to assemble our sandwiches behind the line during service and help with prep at our eatery and market in Mineola, Long Island.
Great opportunity to grow! Full-time availability Monday-Friday for breakfast shift and/or lunch shift needed.
Has experience making sandwiches in a fast-casual dining environment either in the FOH or BOH (you will be building sandwiches behind a customer-facing line) OR experience working on a line in the front of house.
Ability to communicate with kitchen staff, and FOH staff
Prep items and follow recipes which includes slicing/dicing veggies, slicing meats, making spreads etc.
Follow open/close procedures and maintain a clean station
Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high-volume
Responsible and has good communication skills
Able to stand, bend, and reach for the entire shift
Experience working with a meat slicer is a plus but not required
Reliable and responsible
