Our client is seeking a Ophthalmic Technician to join their front-line team. In this role, you will support the department and the physician by being the first line of contact that the patient has in the exam room.
What You’ll Be Doing
Obtains all base line information for the physician, including all ancillary testing.
Performs initial history taking, including recording presenting complaint, document past ocular history, medications, allergies, and etc.
Obtains and records visual acuity, refraction, color testing, lensometry and intraocular pressure.
Performs ancillary testing visual fields, corneal topography, HRT, OCT A and B scan, and Fundus photography.
Other duties as assigned.
What You Bring to the Table
Requires a high school diploma or GED.
Minimum One (1) year of full-time experience working in an Ophthalmology practice.
Must have full working knowledge and hands on experience with Visual Fields, Corneal Topography, IOL, OCT, A/B Scans, Fundus and External Photography, and Manifest Refractions.
Preferred Qualifications
Associates and/or Bachelor's degree.
Additional years of experience working in Ophthalmology multi-specialty practice.
Experience working with Electronic Medical Records. Ophthalmic Certification.
