Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Medical Assistant for a Hip and Knee Replacement surgeon in the Commack, Setauket and Port Jefferson region of Long Island, NY. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for directly assisting in various clinical and administrative duties. This will be under the direct guidance of a surgeon, with whom you will be working with closely. This a team based position with the opportunity for expanded knowledge and clinical responsibility.

Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, and an excellent positive attitude are required
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team
- Medical Assisting and Medical Terminology skills preferred but not required
- Experience in a medical office setting preferred but not required
- Patient Care and Medical Records management skills preferred but not required
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Understanding of medical billing and coding
- Certification as a Medical Assistant
