As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a key role in supporting our pharmacists and ensuring the efficient operation of the pharmacy. You will assist with prescription preparation, customer service, and maintaining accurate records. This is an excellent opportunity to start a career in healthcare, with room for growth and development.
Days needed are M-F 9am to 5pm
We are looking for a dependable Pharmacy Technician that will fill prescriptions assist the pharmacist in all necessary tasks that are needed from the initial fill, to calling the patient to verifying information, working on PA's, billing the patient, and setting up for delivery.
You will undertake other tasks under the direction of a pharmacist to provide excellent customer service and ensure the pharmacy runs smoothly.
As a pharmacy technician you must be detail-oriented and reliable since the job has high responsibility. You must possess excellent communication skills as well as aptitude in using computers.
Responsibilities
Sterilize surfaces and equipment and prepare the pharmacy for opening
Greet customers and answer questions
Process prescriptions electronically and ensure all information is complete and accurate
Resolve issues when they arise (e.g. rejected insurance claims)
Select the appropriate medicine and measure dosages to fill prescriptions
Sort, stock, label medication and monitor inventory
Undertake administrative tasks (e.g.record-keeping) as assigned
Comply with all security measures and quality standards
Skills
Experience as pharmacy technician a bonus but not needed. WE WILL TRAIN
Experience with an online prescription system is a plus. We use DataScan.
Familiar with basic pharmacy vocabulary.
Knowledge of pharmacy law and medical terminology
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Outstanding organizational skills

Pharmacy is all about detail! with a keen eye for detail
Furthermore:
Assists other staff members with restocking shelves, checking stock, pulling expired stock, and filling prescriptions.
Ensures the appearance of the store is pleasing and friendly to customers thus performing required housekeeping tasks such as garbage clean up and recycles, sweeping/mopping floor when needed.
