- New York State Drivers License Required
- basic knowledge of small engines
- basic vehicle maintenance of trucks, utvs, golf carts, backhoes
- log keeping
- when shop is slow, mechanics may be part of the grounds crew including funeral crew
Physical requirements:
- remain on your feet for continues periods of time
- walk considerable distances during the course of the day
-lifting, rising and lowering objects from one level to another
- pulling and pushing, exerting force to move objects
- handling, holding, grasping, turning and working with hands
- stooping and crouching, bending
grounds workers and mechanics work outside/inside and are exposed to all weather conditions including: heat, humidity, rain, snow, etc. Must be able to carry out their assignments, which involve the physical demands listed above, in all weather conditions.
