Express Employment Professionals-Farmingdale, NY is looking for overnight fudge makers/ packers from the hours of 10pm-7am, M-F. (Please keep in mind that this position is 6 weeks or so in a NUT facility.) More hours are available from 2pm-11pm, M-F for fudge makers as well.
FUDGE MAKERS
Adhere to allergen control program by reviewing allergen training annually.
Produce Product while following manufacturing Standard Operational Procedures and their Recipe for Finished Fudge.
Fill out appropriate forms and all documentation such as: Quality check, Kettle temperature, CCP, Refrigerator, log, and Pan washer log.
Log all consumption and output production by entering the quantity and lot number in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
Preparation, labeling, and packaging of all finished products and verifying that all information is correct (Flavor, lot number, and best before date).
Comply with their Master Cleaning Procedure.
Follow all Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP) to their standard by reviewing all training and staying up to date as changes arise
Qualifications:
High School graduate or GED equivalent
Kitchen/cooking and food handling experience preferred
Basic computer skills
Computer functionality in their ERP system as it pertains to the Finished Fudge.
Basic Math skills.
Heavy lifting is required, up to 50 lbs.
Work is very repetitive and requires an individual who is dexterous and attentive to details.
Work environment can be extremely dusty at times. This position is not suited for an individual with an allergy/breathing problem.
Noise level above normal.
PACKERS
Ensure that all finished fudge products meet specifications and commitment to quality
Keep the flow going with the assembly line or pace of production
Package product on the assembly line
Labeling all boxes/cases
Packing all finished products to the shipping carton
Maintaining a safe and clean workspace
Utilizing the pan washer to clean racks and fudge pans
