Garden City Law firm seeks full time Director of Administration/Controller
Responsibilities:
Assist managing Partner with strategic planning and practice management
Generally facilitate any and all attorney and staff needs
Manage the firm’s property leases.
Financial Management:
Oversee accounting
Age Receivables management
Budget management and forecasting
Weekly meeting with Managing Attorney to discuss cash flow, client financial reporting and analysis, and all other firm matters
Daily Cash report to Managing Attorney and Treasurer
Present financial information to Management Committee monthly
Liaison w/the bank/accountants/specific vendors
Assist with managing attorney compensation
Work along with 401(k) Provider and actuaries
Human Resources Management:
Personnel administration including recruitment, onboarding, performance review analysis and benefits coordination
Set and review staff performance metrics
Oversee work load processes and identify and address process improvement including staffing coverage issues
Work along w/payroll (approval of staff timecards, all employee changes, i.e. new hires/terminations)
