Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Appliance Repair Technician to perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a range of European kitchen appliances, both in customers' homes and within our service warehouse. The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver with a strong technical background and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose & Repair: Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in high-end European appliances (e.g., ovens, ranges, cooktops, dishwashers, refrigeration) and has experience from brands such as Miele, Bosch, Gaggenau, Thermador, Wolf, Sub-Zero, etc.
On-Site & In-House Service: Efficiently complete service calls at residential and commercial locations, as well as repair units in the warehouse.
Customer Service: Provide a professional, courteous, and educational experience for customers. Explain complex technical issues in simple terms and provide clear repair options and estimates.
Parts & Inventory: Manage truck stock and warehouse inventory; order necessary parts to complete repairs efficiently.
Documentation: Accurately document service reports, including diagnostics, parts used, labor time, and customer interactions.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated on new technologies and repair techniques for evolving appliance models.
Qualifications & Required Experience (The Must-Haves):
Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in repairing major household appliances.
Proven, hands-on experience with European and high-end appliance brands is a significant advantage.
Strong understanding of electrical systems (120V/240V), gas systems, and electronic control boards.
Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Must own a full set of professional tools (multimeter, nut drivers, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.).
Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a daily schedule.
Preferred Qualifications:
EPA 608 Certification (Type I or Universal) for handling refrigerants (crucial for fridge/freezer repair).
Formal training or certification from a technical school or a manufacturer (e.g., Miele Certified Technician, Bosch Training).
Experience with commercial-grade kitchen equipment.
