Position Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to support our Executive team. This role is ideal for a highly organized, analytical individual with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The Bookkeeper will work closely with our Financial Clerk, managing daily accounting tasks, assisting with financial reporting, and ensuring accuracy across all company financial records. Candidates must be comfortable working within a fast-paced, high-end manufacturing environment and must be willing to train on our project management software, Crows Nest, to perform daily scheduling, job costing, purchasing, and financial tracking tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Manage A/R and A/P.
Assist with reconciling bank and credit card statements.
Assist with Payroll processing.
Prepare reports and assist in monitoring project budgets, cost tracking, and profitability.
Collaborate with the Purchasing, Receiving, and Operations departments to ensure accuracy in billing and inventory.
Assist with job costing reconciliation between accounting and Crows Nest software.
Support monthly and year-end close procedures.
Help maintain organized digital and physical filing systems.
Support Financial Clerk as needed with miscellaneous tasks, including but not limited to mail drop-offs, filing/scanning paperwork, data entry, etc.
Qualifications
5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Outlook, and Excel.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
Excellent communication and time management abilities.
3-5 years’ experience in construction, design, or manufacturing industries strongly preferred.
Willingness to train and become proficient in Crows Nest (training provided).
